Rest of the Day (except first class)

I went to the International Office this morning to finally pick up my student ID card but they told us that they are still not ready for graduate students (and some few very unfortunate undergraduate students). Well, so I still cannot enter the dorm by myself...which is a pain in the ass! I really hope the cards are ready soon!
Afterwards we had lunch at a student cafeteria, but this time a different one. This one is located in some kind of underground center in the Women's University, which means no daylight and quite uncomfy. Btw, guys can still go there of course. The food is minimally more expensive (~500-1000 krw) and is supposed to be a lot better.
I took the 돈까스 (donkkaseu), a kind of pork/chicken cutlet covered in a brown sauce with rice and a small cabbage salad. This kind of dish is very popular in Japan and is called Tonkatsu there. It's supposed to be modelled on Western food, but really is nothing like it at all (it isn't spicy though, maybe that's enough to earn the designation "Western food").

My "Western-style" food today
Yeah, doesn't really look like our food, does it? I don't really like the brown sauce and if you eat too slowly it gets unpleasently slushy. Sometimes it's ok to eat it though and I wanted to be on the safe side for lunch today because I had to go to a class afterwards.
After my class (see my first class post) I had a short long nap in my room and met some people to go out for dinner. Walking over the (mountaneous) campus we had quite a nice view, including sunset:

We, that's Stephanie, me, Elena and Philipp (in that order on the picture) asked some Korean girls to take a picture of all of us together. And no we don't only look like it, it really was freezing cold today!

We found a very nice place to have Korean barbecue (again, I know, it's really my favorite food!).

Still raw

I also ordered a very nice (but of course spicy) Tofu soup. Inside the soup was also an egg which I first mistook for Tofu and was wondering about the weird taste. Seeing the egg yolk helped my clarify though what I was actually eating. The tofu was very very soft and all in all it was very delicious.

Can you see the spiciness?
For the meat for four people, four bowls of rice, soup and side dishes we only paid 16.000 krw (~ 10 euro). And we didn't have to pay for water (you actually never have to pay for water in Korean restaurants). The one thing missing to make it perfect would have been some soju (Korean alcohol) or beer. Maybe next time ;)
We didn't really feel like going back to the dorm yet, so we went to a coffee-waffle-icecream-shop (which was nicely heated so it felt very nice to stay there).

Have I mentioned that I really need to find a gym here? Look at the waffle I had:

Well, walking up and down the mountains here actually counts as sports :) but I'll still search for that gym!
